What happens to the funds raised?

20.12.10 CLASS CHRISTMAS PRESENTS

Each class received presents to the value of £30. These were chosen by the class teacher and included items such as additional outdoor equipment, games for "wet" playtimes, jigsaws, books etc.

23.10.10 NEW PURCHASE FROM PTA FUNDS

The new staging has arrived in school in good time for the children to practice their Christmas performances. It will make viewing much better for parents and make a tremendous difference to the children as they perform on a real stage! It has cost £4,800 and will be a great investment for many years to come. It stores away neatly meaning that the school hall can be used to its full potential at other times.

23.7.10 SUMMER FAYRE 2010

Thanks to fantastic support the summer school fayre raised £310 from the stalls, activities and refreshments on the day!

-----------------------------------------------------------

The funds raised by the PTA are used for lots of different things throughout the year, sometimes there are larger projects such as upgrading the school disco equipment but on a day to day basis they provide the "extras" that wouldn't be there otherwise. Previously raised funds have been used for:

  • Additional Maths and Science equipment
  • TV & DVD players
  • Litter and recyling bins
  • Baking equipment
  • Class Christmas presents and crackers for Christmas Lunch
  • Lunchtime play equipment
  • Easter competition prizes

They are the kind of items we take forgranted, but the PTA funds help to ensure our children are using decent up to date items to enrich their learning, play and social time in school.
