SUMMER FAYRE DATE CONFIRMED!

Friday 9th July 2010. Fingers crossed the weather will be kind and we can make this event bigger and better than ever. We have lots of activities planned alongside a fun session covering all the playground dances we have been learning this year. There will be lots of stalls including the popular welly wanging and the even more popular throwing a wet sponge at the teacher! I wonder who that will be? Why not make it an easy tea and take advantage of the refreshments on offer including hot and cold drinks, hot dogs and lots more.

Please save those items that may sell on the day, there is no room to store them in school but watch this space and we will advertise when donations can be dropped off. We will be having the usual bric-a-brac, toys and books, so there will be plenty to buy to keep everyone amused during the long summer break.

PTA Family Disco held at the Jubilee Club, Chaddesden on Friday 5th February raises over £250!

A BIG "Thank You!" to everyone who attended the recent family disco and contributed to raising over £250 on the night. Funds were raised by the admission charge, raffle tickets and our traditional "tuck shop". Expenses on the evening were room hire, disco and purchasing the sweets but as all raffle prizes were kindly donated the maximum amount possible was raised for school.

If you enjoyed the evening make sure you tell others in school as we will be holding another disco later in the year. Its a great social event, where else can adults have a night out and know that children are also having a good time with their friends? Within walking distance from school I'm sure you will agree the Jubilee Club was a great venue.

We'll shortly have a list of fundraising targets for the coming year so you can see how hard your money is working to provide those all important extras for the children in Meadow Farm School.
